

Jalen T. Oliver

The Reverend Jalen T. Oliver is the Executive Pastor of Fifteenth Avenue Baptist Church in Nashville, TN. A proud native of Tuskegee, AL, born to Rev. James & (the late) Tammy Oliver. He has been a minister of the gospel for 8 years, commencing his preaching ministry at age 15 and his pastoral ministry at 21. Pastor Oliver attended The University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa where he began his journey to obtain a Bachelor of Arts degrees in Political Science & Religious Studies. At "The Capstone", he served as President of the Future Black Law Student Association, Event Director of the UA NAACP, Vice President of the UA-NAACP, Director of High School Outreach for First Fellows and President of the University of Alabama Chapter of the NAACP. Upon collegiate graduation, he will further his education so he can continue to impact the world in a positive way! Rev. Oliver is a member of Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Tuskegee, Alabama, where he is a part of the Ministerial staff at The Mount Church under the leadership of Rev. Dr. John H. Curry, Jr. He also served as Youth Minister at Bethel MBC (Troy, AL) under the supervision of his father and President of the Southeast District Congress of Christian Education Youth. Rev. Oliver most recently served as Pastor of First Baptist Church of Whitehall, AL where he led them under God's submission & experienced God's bountiful harvest in every aspect of ministry. He believes, "The sky is not the limit if there are footsteps on the moon".
